Cashew is widely cultivated across Nigeria’s Middle Belt and southern regions. Major producing states include Kogi, Oyo, Kwara, Enugu, and Benue. Nigeria is one of Africa’s significant producers of raw cashew nuts, supplying both local processors and international export markets.

Cocoa

Cocoa is primarily grown in the southern part of Nigeria, particularly in Ondo, Cross River, Osun, Ekiti, Oyo, and Ogun states. Ondo State is recognized as the leading cocoa-producing state in the country. Soybeans
